Mustafa Çorbacı, known in the tattoo world as Elmucos, is a realism artist who blends his background in sculpture and graphic design with a deep passion for light, form, and texture. His career began in Türkiye, where he opened several studios, and today he continues in the United States, developing his style and sharing his vision through conventions and guest spots.

He opens the door to his story, his style, and the challenges that keep him in constant motion within the world of tattooing.

1) What led you to choose realism as the style you decided to specialize in?

I studied sculpture and graphic design, so I’ve always been obsessed with form, light, and texture.

Realism lets me turn those studies into quiet stories on skin—especially in black and gray, where

contrast and subtle shading can say a lot with very little.

2) How were your first steps into the world of tattooing?

I started in the late 2000s tattooing friends in my neighborhood in Türkiye. That grew into

professional work, then my own studios in Istanbul, Samsun, and Izmir. After many years and

thousands of hours, I moved to Florida to push my craft in the U.S. market.

3) How do you approach the fusion of your designs, and when does your creativity flow the most?

I begin with a conversation and a few meaningful references, then compose digitally around the

body’s natural lines so the tattoo looks “born” there. My best flow is when the client trusts the

process—early morning, good music, and a clear story to tell.

4) Did you ever imagine that you could make a living from tattooing?

At first, no—it was love and curiosity. Over time it became my language and my profession. I’m

grateful that art on skin now supports my life and my family.

5) How would you like your professional career to evolve in the coming years?

Build a strong presence in the U.S., expand guest spots nationwide, and teach—workshops and a

structured training set for young artists. I want to collaborate with studios and brands to elevate

clean, timeless realism.

6) Do you feel there are still dreams or goals left to achieve?

Always. Finalizing my O-1 artist visa, winning major convention awards in the U.S., opening a

flagship studio, and publishing an education program in both Turkish and English.

7) How do you balance your personal life with your professional life as an artist?

Discipline and routine. I book design blocks, keep long sessions organized with my manager, and

protect simple rituals—music, the gym, and quiet time. Balance keeps the work precise.

8) What plans do you have for the upcoming months? Any trips or conventions scheduled?

I have guest-spot plans in Miami, St. Augustine, Orlando, and New York, and I’m targeting several

Villain Arts tour stops. I’m also preparing new video content and collaborations with

equipment/aftercare brands.

9) How can people get in touch with you?

Instagram: @elmucos Email: elmucosofficial@gmail.com Website: www.mustafacorbaci.com

10) Who would you like to thank or dedicate a few words to?

My family for their patience, my mentors and teammates in Türkiye and Florida, the clients who

trust me with their stories, and the studios and brands that support my work. Every piece is a

collaboration—thank you.
