Julia Pagneux, 24, began tattooing three years ago and has since continually evolved, exploring new forms of artistic expression. Her training in applied arts and plastic arts provided her with a strong foundation, which she now translates onto her clients’ skin, seamlessly merging painting and tattooing.
She began her career at Old Border Ink in Clermont-Ferrand, where she spent her first two years refining her technique in black and grey tattoos. Today, Julia works independently in her private studio in Vaucluse, in the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region in the south of France.

Her passion for color and realism emerged two years ago, combining her experience with oil painting and tattooing techniques. Her pieces are characterized by a delicate interplay of light, contrast, and movement, especially in portraits, where she captures the essence and emotions of each subject.

In 2025, Julia attended numerous tattoo conventions across France, showcasing her work to industry professionals and gaining invaluable experience. Each tattoo she creates represents a new learning opportunity and a chance to continue exploring the complexity and beauty of this art form.

For DGN Tattoo Magazine, Julia Pagneux is a breakthrough artist, standing out for her creativity, impeccable technique, and passion for every piece she brings to life on the skin.
