From the moment art became the center of his life, José knew tattooing wasn’t just a hobby—it was his path. With a versatile style that covers both black and grey and full color, and a passion for creating bold, long-lasting pieces, he has built a solid career that’s taken him to many corners of the world. His curiosity, constant travels, and belief that there’s always something new to learn keep him moving forward—growing, sharing, and leaving his mark with every project.

1.José, at what point did you realize that tattooing wasn’t just a hobby, but the professional path you wanted to follow?—I realized it when my life started to revolve around art. That’s when I decided to fully dedicate myself to it, since it had always been my goal.
2.Throughout your career, you’ve developed impressive versatility. What led you to specialize in both color and black and grey? How do you balance both styles?—I started tattooing in black and grey from the beginning because I liked how those tattoos age over time. I spent a long time working exclusively in that style. Then, one day, a friend asked me for a full-color piece, and it turned out great. I felt like I could truly understand color, so I kept at it until I mastered both techniques equally, without any problem

3. Every tattoo artist has an invisible signature. What do you think defines your artistic identity, and what do you aim to convey through your work?—I like to create highly saturated pieces—simple, but with a strength that will last for years. I aim for my tattoos to heal looking just as fresh as the day they were done.
4.You’re currently based in the United States, but you frequently travel for guest spots. How has this international dynamic influenced your art and professional growth?—I love traveling and meeting new people, and I’ve always had the opportunity to connect with incredible individuals—both clients with a broad artistic taste, which has helped me grow, and top-level artists who constantly push me to improve.

5. How important is continuous education to you, and how do you stay up to date in terms of techniques and technologies?—Tattooing is an art form that has evolved tremendously. Now more than ever, it’s possible to create truly impressive work. I always try to keep studying, learning, and exploring, constantly seeking to improve day by day. I make a point of using the best tools available to enhance my work.
6. How do you see yourself in a few years? What would you like to happen, both personally and professionally?—In a few years, I see myself tattooing even better than I do today, and still wanting to keep improving. I’d love to create an art gallery that I could share with fellow artists who are as passionate about art as I am.

7. Do you have any conventions or special projects planned for this year?—Yes, absolutely. I want to take part in the All Star convention in Miami organized by Emilio.
8. You’ve traveled many miles throughout your career… Are you looking for a place to settle down and call home, or do you feel more like someone whose home is the world?
—After living in and visiting so many places, I feel comfortable traveling. I don’t have one specific place I’d call home, but I’d love to find somewhere peaceful where I can keep creating art. I’d say I belong to the world.

9. Is there a piece of advice or words that have stayed with you and still guide you today?—I’ve always liked something a friend once told me: “Even the most experienced still have more to learn.” I’ve carried that with me ever since. It’s helped me avoid getting too comfortable with my current level and reminded me that there’s always so much more to learn. That mindset keeps me studying and striving to improve.
10. If someone wants to get in touch with you, how can they do it?—If someone wants to contact me, they can reach out through my Instagram or my official website. I’m always active on both.
