Franz was chosen as the Public Choice Winner in our international competition through an open vote held on our Instagram (@dgntattoomag) , where thousands of people participated by selecting their favorite artist among more than 100 participants from around the world. Throughout the process, his work clearly stood out and resonated strongly with the audience.

His path in tattooing is defined by versatility and a solid artistic foundation, which has allowed him to develop a distinctive visual language. He works across styles such as Neo-Traditional, Microrealism, Freestyle color, Dotwork, Anime, Watercolor, and Geometric, always prioritizing cleanliness, harmony, and visual impact. His pieces convey intention and sensitivity, creating a direct connection on both an aesthetic and emotional level.

This recognition highlights not only his artistic skill, but also the genuine bond he has built with an international audience.

Below, we present the interview with Franz.

1. Franz, as a child, drawing was your language and way of expressing yourself. How do you think that early passion has influenced the way you approach tattooing today?

Since I was a child, drawing has been my most natural way of expressing myself. That early connection with art taught me to pay attention to detail and develop patience. Today, that foundation is still present in every tattoo I create—I focus on conveying emotion and maintaining visual harmony in each piece.

2. What motivated you to choose tattooing as a profession, and what did you find most appealing about this discipline compared to other forms of art?

I chose tattooing because it brings together what I’m most passionate about: art, human connection, and the constant challenge of self-improvement. What drew me in the most was the permanence of it—each piece lives on someone’s skin and becomes part of their story.

3. Throughout your career, has there been a decisive moment that marked a turning point in your development as an artist?

One of the most meaningful moments was receiving my first international recognition. It was a sign that effort, consistency, and passion truly pay off. Since then, I’ve understood that tattooing is a path where there’s always room to grow and bring something unique to the table.

4. Your work spans Neo-Traditional, Microrealism, Freestyle color, Dotwork, Anime, Watercolor, and Geometric designs. How do you decide which style to apply for each client or project?

It depends on the design, the client’s story, and the message they want to convey. I always listen carefully and suggest the style that best fits the concept, the body placement, and the desired visual impact. Each style has its own essence, and my role is to translate that essence into skin in a meaningful way.

5. You were chosen as the public favorite among over 100 artists worldwide, receiving thousands of votes. How did you receive this news, and what does this recognition mean to you?

It was a very rewarding surprise. Knowing that so many people appreciated my work filled me with motivation. For me, this kind of recognition not only pushes my career forward but also reinforces my commitment to the craft and to giving my best in every project.

6. You won the Neo-Traditional category and placed 2nd in Microrealism in our international competition. What do you think made your designs stand out in these categories and reflect your personal style?

I believe it was a combination of technique, composition, and intention. I always aim for each design to have a clear identity, with details that speak for themselves. I focus on balancing visual appeal with technical precision.

7. Today, how would you define your style and approach as a tattoo artist?

My approach is versatile, always based on cleanliness, harmony, and visual impact. I adapt to the styles I work with, but I always strive to leave my personal touch in every piece, regardless of its size or complexity.

8. What projects, goals, or artistic explorations do you have in mind to continue evolving as an artist?

Currently, I’m developing my own line of products for tattoo artists and planning to continue participating in international events. I’m also interested in building stronger connections with fellow artists and sharing knowledge that helps elevate the craft.

9. How is the rest of your year shaping up?

I’m working on new artistic projects, guest spots, and participating in more conventions. I also plan to keep innovating and refining my technique to stay in constant evolution.

10. Is there anything else you would like to add?

Just thank you—for the space, the recognition, and the opportunity to keep sharing my art with the world. This journey has taught me a lot, and I continue with the same passion I had on day one.
